UPS Customs Brokerage provides customs clearance for shipments entering Canada. If you elect to ship your products using UPS Express Plus,
UPS Express or UPS Expedited Services, there is no charge for this service. Otherwise, UPS will charge you a low rate for this service as defined in the table below.
- All rates and values are in Canadian funds. To calculate US amount divide by the current exchange rate.
- Rates do not include applicable taxes and duties.
- Brokerage charges are subject to 5% GST tax for business and local taxes for residential delivery
- Customers are responsible for payment of duties and taxes. When funds are not provided in advance by the customer, UPS must post a bond to allow UPS shipments to be released in advance of payment to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). You may prepay this amount or pay it upon delivery of your order. If you elect not to prepay, a fee of 2.7% (minimum $6.00 on Standard, $10.00 on Air) of the amount advanced by UPS will be charged in addition to the Entry Preparation Fees listed below. To avoid this fee, call 1-800-PICK-UPS and ask about our Prepayment or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) plans .
