To avoid ordering the wrong items, consider searching for them by VIN Number, conveniently located on a plate attached to the top of the dashboard. You can see it through the drive's side windshield. The VIN Number is also available on your vehicle's insurance card and registration. The VIN Number is 17 digits, such as 3CZRU6H57GM710481.

A small but critical subset of parts under your hood are different depending uponwhether your vehicle conforms to the Califonia or 49 State Emission Standard. Unfortunatly you can't assume that if your vehicle was not purchased in Califonia that it conforms to the 49 State Emissions Standard. For example, all vehicles sold in Massachusetts must conform to the Califonia Emissons Standard. To learn which standard your Acura conforms to, open your hood and check the label attached to the underside of the hood.

It conforms to the "KL" or "Califonia Emissions Standard" if, as in the example, it includes the term "Califonia". If it lacks the term "Califonia", it conforms to the "KA" or "49 State Emissions Standard".
